Return to Summer [...]

It was the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring….. Well if you are like most single parents this is far from true. Tonight will be the one night this year that your children can not seem to fall asleep for anything. You know that once you have them down that your night is just beginning. It will be a night of wrapping and assembling presents.

Remember this Christmas Eve to take time for yourself. We are always so worried about taking care of our children that we do no take the time to enjoy the holidays. Turn on your favorite Christmas movie this evening. Open a nice bottle of wine, or if you are a chocoholic you can make hot chocolate.

I decided that I am going to give myself a present this year. My boyfriend and I are not exchanging gifts for many reasons this year. My family has rarely gotten me anything that I would say that I was excited to get. My daughter is only two so I know that her hug will be my best Christmas present. I am going to wait until the after Christmas sales to buy my gift, but I am purchasing a gift for myself.
